The Palm tree is a plant that represent Cambodia. It has countless benefits from the roots, leaves, flowers fruits and especially its juice can not only be eaten and made into vinegar, but it can also be made into palm sugar, or some Cambodians call brown sugar. Palm sugar production has been a traditional of Cambodian people since ancient times, and this tradition continue to this day. Today, however, the majority of the people who continue to climb palm trees are the elderly who live in the countryside, where children are less active in climbing palm trees because they this it is dangerous and they can find other jobs besides climbing palm trees. On the other hand, some people do business on palm trees, thinking that it is expensive. If the number of people who produce palm sugar decrease in the future, we can assume that the price of palm sugar will more expensive. It is also a negative impact on the palm sugar produce which is our Cambodian’s traditional.
